Types of ceremony

• Time: Monday through Thursday on the full hour (no half hours) between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
  This is subject to us being able to provide an available official and location.
   
• Language: Dutch.
   
• Duration: 15 to 20 minutes.
   
• Wedding venue: the council chamber of the town hall (room for about 30/35 people).
   
• Wedding officiant:
  We will gladly select an appropriate and available wedding officiant for you, for which you cannot indicate a preference. An own babs (not employed by the municipality of Son en Breugel) is not possible for this type of ceremony.
   
• Music
  No music is played during a simple ceremony.
   
• Preliminary track  
  In a simple ceremony, there is no room for speeches from other attendees. The wedding officiant creates a personal, Dutch-language speech tailored to your needs. This is based on the input you provide:
  • A questionnaire with practical information.
  • A letter stating your personal story and wishes. 

• Wedding/partnership booklet is included. 

Cost 

• Time
  • 24 hours a day on the hour (no half hours), subject to official and location availability.
  • Available 7 days a week.

• Language
  Dutch-language or English-language speech (note: none of our wedding officiants are native speakers).
   
• Duration
  The ceremony lasts a maximum of 45 minutes.
   
• Wedding Location
  • City Hall (Council Chamber, with seating for 30/35 people).
  • Other venues in Son and Breugel can be nominated as one-time wedding venues as follows:
    • Register your marriage/partnership using the online notification form.
    • Enter in the "additional information" field that you are choosing a private wedding venue.
    • We will contact you to arrange the one-time designation with you. 

• Wedding officiant
  You can indicate your preference for a wedding officiant from our team. You can do this through the online notification form. 

• Own wedding officiant
  Please read carefully the associated Requirements and additional fees to avoid disappointment.
  When registering your wedding/partnership, please indicate in the 'additional information' box that you are using your own wedding officiant. If in doubt: contact us(0499-491491 / trouwen@sonenbreugel.nl), and together we will check if your desired babs are eligible to perform your ceremony.
   
• Music
  Upon entering or during the signing of the deed, you may play music (provide your own).
   
• Preparation 
  We ask you to provide the following input.
  • A questionnaire with practical information.
  • A letter stating your personal story and wishes for the speech.

• Preparation
  Prior to the ceremony, you will have a personal meeting with your wedding officiant. Here your wishes and the possibilities will be discussed. During the preliminary interview, your babs will gather additional information to incorporate into his/her speech.
   
• Wedding/partnership booklet is included.
   
• You may take the parker pen you use to sign the deed with you afterwards.

Cost

You cannot arrange this notification online. 

• Only possible if 1 of you both lives in Son en Breugel.
• Space for up to 10 people (including (bridal) couple/witnesses).
• The ceremony takes place in a consulting room at City Hall.
• Only the legal part of the consummation is covered.
• No pre-meeting with the wedding officiant, music or speeches possible.

2. We will send you information on how to sign up and also what days and times are currently available.
3. After we receive all the necessary documents, we will reserve a date and time for you.
