Assistance

Assistance for the self-employed

Sometimes you can apply for assistance as a self-employed person. For example, if you want to start a business or if your business has financial problems. You can then appeal to the 'Decree on assistance for the self-employed'.

Assistance, work

You should make every effort to find work. That includes increasing your chances of finding work. One way you do this is by applying for jobs and registering with employment agencies.

Assistance, benefit

Do you have no job and little money to live on? Then you may be entitled to benefits under the Participation Act. This allows you to support yourself until you find work again.

Special assistance

Special assistance can be provided for special necessary expenses that you cannot pay for yourself with your income or for which you have not been able to save.

Assistance, volunteering

If you receive Social assistance benefit benefits and want to volunteer, you must obtain prior approval from the municipality. Your volunteer work must not interfere with a paid job.

Assistance, communicating change

As soon as something changes in your situation that may be relevant to your benefits, you will notify the municipality.

Schemes for low-income people
