Sophia Pasanea (group 8)

I am Sophia Pasanea and I am 11 years old. Together with my parents and dog Lilly I live in Son en Breugel. I'm in group 8 of elementary school de Bloktempel. In my spare time I like to play field hockey at HTC and meet up with friends. As a member of the Youth Town Council, I would like to work towards an even nicer and safer village, so that the village is even more fun for the younger generation.

Jaya Geuze (group 7)

I am Jaya Geuze and I am 10 years old. I live with my parents, sister and dog in Son en Breugel. I am in group 7 of primary school de Bloktempel. In my spare time I like to meet up with friends. I like playing field hockey at HTC Son and I also enjoy making music. That's why I take piano lessons and singing lessons. I have some ideas to make Son and Breugel better such as: 

  • A public fitness park with equipment for everyone
  • An open stage for all ages
  • A parent job day with rewards
  • Animal-friendly light along forests

Guusje von Kriegenbergh (group 8)

My name is Guusje von Kriegenbergh and I just turned 11. My hobbies are: gymnastics, making bracelets, playing outdoors and swimming. I live with my mom, dad, little brother and my two cats Jacob and Horton. I wanted to be on the youth city council because I enjoy thinking about our village.

These are my ideas for the Youth City Council :

  • safer roads
  • school (soccer) tournaments
  • (disco) swimming back so children get plenty of practice swimming
  • fishing spot for children with fishing license

Fenne Wiekema (group 7)

I am in grade 7 at OBS BuitensteBinnen elementary school.

I live with my parents (Rinse and Anne) and my brother (Jesse) in Breugel.
My hobbies are: going out with my friends, drawing and I like shopping.
I also like to play korfball at kv De Corridor with the D2.

I like being on the Youth City Council because I enjoy doing things for the village.

My ideas:

  1. More days off at the deer camp to look in the indoor pen.
  2. A play garden at SBC or other sports parks in our village that children who go to watch and otherwise cannot stay at home can also play.
  3. An idea bus at the town hall to solicit ideas from people and improvements for our village.

Finn Flach (group 8)

Hi all,

My name is Finn Flach and I am 12 years old. Together with my parents and my two brothers I live in a cozy street with a nice playground in front of the door. My hobbies are: playing soccer and playing outside. I would like to think about the things that make Son en Breugel more beautiful and better for the children, the schools and nature. I regularly pick up garbage in the neighborhood. I would like to do that more often with others. I also think it would be nice if more people had their own vegetable garden, so that you could learn how to grow your own fruit and vegetables. I'm looking forward to getting started together!

Raff Flach (group 7)

Hi, I'm Raff Flach and I'm 9 years old and Finn's little brother.

I like helping with something and when I heard that you could help with the Youth City Council I was already convinced to join the Youth City Council.

It was a challenge to find topics because I had already heard a lot from my brother Finn. But it worked out! These are a few: street safety, a gnome trail, safer online and a cleaner environment.

I expect a fun year!

The Harlequin

Lieke van Hoorn (group 8)

My name is Lieke van Hoorn. I am 11 years old and I was born on September 2, 2013.

My hobbies are playing field hockey, baking and drawing. The school I attend is called the Harlequin.

I live together with dad (Coen 44 years),mom (Joyce 42 years), 1 brother (Jorn 13 years), 1 rabbit (Lilly 5 years), 1 dog (Luna 3 years) and an aquarium with lots of fish in Son en Breugel. I would like to be in the youth council because I find it fun and educational.

My ideas are:

  • More activities with the sports field hockey korfball and soccer.
  • Remove giant bear claws and make sure they don't come back (dig them out).
  • More car-free days on school days.
  • Banning smoking in areas where children play.

The Harlequin

Sem Swinkels (group 7)

My name is Sem Swinkels and I am 10 years young.
I am in group 7 of elementary school de Harlekijn. Together with my sister Finn and parents Vera and Ted I live in the center of Son.

As for sports, I do Hockey at HTC. I have 6 chickens (so fresh eggs every day) and 1 sweet cat named "Tiger". 

I would like to be part of the youth city council in order to bring good changes for the children in Son and Breugel. Think about;
- More play space in the neighborhoods and in the center
- Greener center
- Safe for bicycles
- Less traffic in the village
In addition, participating in the youth city council is already quite an adventure!

Hi I am Lisa de lange and I am 12 years old.

I am in group 8 of elementary school de Ruimte and my hobbies are playing soccer, baking and playing outside. I live with my parents and my little brother in Son en Breugel.

Why do I want to be on the Youth City Council: because it seems educational and fun.

What do I want to do on the Youth Town Council:
*The line markings on public roads and clear pedestrian crossings.
*Keep the green spaces near schools safe.
*More activities for grade 7 and 8 children such as after school soccer game, craft activity to get to know other children from the village.

Hi I am Sep Kuijpers, I am 10 years old I am at elementary school de Ruimte in group 7.

I have two brothers and of them I am the middle one. I love everything alive and I'm very curious. And I'm in handball. I want to take better measures for nature.

What do I want to achieve:

  • Nature friendly playgrounds
  • More public trash cans that separate trash

Liv van der Zaan (group 8)

I'm Liv,

I live with my father, mother and sister in Son en Breugel.

My hobbies are: reading and playing tennis. I would like to be on the Youth Town Council because it seems fun and educational. What I would like to make sure is that there is less litter on the streets, and that there is playground equipment in the center and other places in the village where there is no playground equipment.

I'm super looking forward to it!!!!

Demi Wenzel (group 7)

Hello, my name is Demi.

I am 10 years old and was born with my sister on November 11, 2013.

My hobbies are horseback riding, painting and drawing. I like to be with friends. At the Sonnewijzer I am in group 7. Together with my mother Anneliek, my bonus father Marco and my sister Kim, I live in Son en Breugel. Our dog is called Dapper and we have three guinea pigs CoCo, Abigail and Hope.

I would like to serve on the Youth City Council for:

  • Street safety for all: that children can bike and play safely to school;
  • Children in poverty: that every child has breakfast and can participate in sports activities;
  • Conservation of nature for people and animals 

I am very much looking forward to it!
