Youth City Council

Because we think it is important that children and young people have a say in improving the living environment and facilities in Son en Breugel, there is a youth council. From every elementary school in the municipality, one pupil from group 7 and one pupil from group 8 sit on the youth council. In this way, children are introduced to municipal politics at an early age and are given the opportunity to influence municipal policy. Mayor Suzanne Otters chairs the Youth City Council. Every year there are elections at the elementary school and the composition of the Youth Council changes.
