Neighborhood approach 't Zand natural gas-free(ready)
By 2050 at the latest, all homes in the Netherlands must be off natural gas. We approached the residents of the 't Zand neighborhood first to join us in drawing up a plan to become natural gas-free. We are using the knowledge and experience gained from this neighborhood to set to work in the others as well.
District Implementation Plan
Together with us and HetEnergieBureau, the Aardgasvrij 't Zand working group has drawn up a neighborhood implementation plan. Within that framework, several meetings have been held in which, among other things, agreements have been made about cooperation and what is needed to map the neighborhood and the homes - and the possibilities for natural gas-free - properly technically Map

- Heat network in Drimmelen on aquathermy from surface water (TEO) and a collective MT heat pump with peak supply (partly) via buffer tank.
- The Oranjewijk in Leeuwarden where homes are first made suitable for hybrid heating and then make the switch to MT heat grid (55-75⁰C).
