Cast your vote on election day
As a resident of Son and Breugel, you can cast your vote anywhere within the municipality of Son and Breugel on Wednesday, October 29.
- Check the list of polling places to see which location you want to vote at.
- Bring your voting card with you (explanation: see below on the page).
- Bring your proof of identity (passport, identity card or driver's license). This must not have been expired for more than 5 years.
- If everything is in order, you will receive a ballot.
- Go to the voting booth.
- Color the bullet red that appears before the name of the person you want to vote for.
- If you do not know who you want to elect then you do not color any of the bullets red. This is called blank voting.
This indicates that you want to exercise your right to vote but do not have a preference. - Fold the ballot and put it in the ballot box.
Invalid votes
Your ballot is invalid if you:
- color multiple boxes
- write/sign something on the ballot indicating who you are.
Did you accidentally cast an invalid ballot? Then you may ask 1 time for a new ballot paper from the polling officials.
Required to vote: the voting pass
In order to vote on Wednesday, October 29, for the House of Representatives elections, you need a voting pass. You have received this by mail.
With your voting pass you can cast your vote at any polling station in Son en Breugel if you show a valid ID. This proof of identity can be either a passport or an identity card and must not have expired more than 5 years ago.
Lost voting pass
At this time, unfortunately, we can no longer provide you with a replacement voting card.
The possibility to request them online has been closed since Saturday, October 25.
At the counter of the town hall, this is no longer possible since Tuesday, October 28 at 12:00.
Moved to another municipality on/after Sept. 15
Note: Did you move to another municipality prior to the election? Then you may still have to vote in Son en Breugel.
The address where you were officially registered on September 15, 2025 (the day of the candidacy) determines where you may vote. You also received your voting card at this address.
Requirements to be allowed to vote
- You are 18 years of age or older;
- You have the Dutch nationality;
- You are not excluded from the right to vote.
Registering as a voter
Every resident of the municipality of Son en Breugel can ask at the town hall if he/she is registered as a voter. You can report to the reception desk for this purpose. If you are not (or not properly) registered then you can submit a written request to review the registration.
