Support political party with a statement of support

With a statement of support, you indicate in writing that you support the participation of a political party in the municipal elections.

When is a declaration of support required?

A political party needs a declaration of support if this party:

In all other cases, a political party is not required to submit declarations of support.

To be able to support a political party by means of a declaration of support, you must Requirements the following Requirements .

You are a resident of the municipality of Son en Breugel and registered as a voter within the municipality.
You must bring valid identification with you.
You may make a maximum of one statement.
You cannot withdraw your statement later.

Persons who are listed as candidates may also sign a declaration of support (provided they Requirements above Requirements ).

Declarations of support can be submittedfromMonday, January 19, 2026, through Monday, February 2, 2026. No appointment is necessary.

Please register between January 19 and February 2 using the form at the reception desk of the municipality of Son en Breugel. You do not need to make an appointment for this.
An employee will check whether you live in Son en Breugel and whether you are eligible to vote in the municipal elections.
Sign the completed form under the supervision of the employee.
The employee stamps the form.
You take the form home with you.
You ensure that the form is sent to the political party.
The party submits your declaration to us on February 2 (the day of nomination).

From January 19 to February 2, you can visit us without an appointment to obtain a support statement.
