The total count per polling station will take place on election day, March 18, 2026. All polling stations will close at 9:00 p.m., after which the votes will be counted by hand. The ballot boxes will be opened, the ballots will be removed, and the votes will be counted on site at the relevant polling station in accordance with government guidelines. The chair of the polling station will ensure that the counting proceeds smoothly.

Attending the counting of votes (March 18)

You may be present during the vote count, provided you do not interfere with the counting process. The media may also be present during the vote count. Unfortunately, counting is not possible: this is done exclusively by polling station members and counters appointed by the municipality.

Public announcement of election results (March 19)

At the Municipal Voting Board (GSB), the results of the election are determined at the municipal level. All process tallies are reviewed for discrepancies and/or errors, and recounts are conducted where necessary.

This hearing is open to the public and will take place on Thursday, March 19, at 10:00 a.m. in the town hall of Son en Breugel (Raadhuisplein ).
