Invitation to the National Remembrance Ceremony in Son en Breugel
We cordially invite you to participate in the National Remembrance Ceremony in Son en Breugel.
During the National Remembrance Ceremony, we commemorate all those—civilians and military personnel—who lost their lives or were killed in the Kingdom of the Netherlands or anywhere else in the world; both during World War II and the colonial war in Indonesia, as well as in subsequent war situations and peacekeeping operations.
The commemoration is also a moment of reflection on the present and the future. A moment to reflect on the vulnerability of our democratic society.
We believe it is very important that the ceremony be supported by as many residents of all ages as possible
.
The Harmonie, the St. Catharina Guild, the scouting groups, the churches in Son en Breugel, the Youth
Municipal Council, and the Son en Breugel Veterans traditionally play a role on this day.
This year, Mayor Suzanne Otters-Bruijnen will give a speech, and a member of the Youth Municipal Council
