What is it?

Do you want to sell goods or food from a stall or cart, such as a fish stall, flower stall or ice cream stand? Then apply for a permit from the municipality. You may then set up your stall in a public place in the open air. For example, on or near the public road.

Is the municipality not the owner of the land where you want your pitch? Then you also need permission from the landowner.

Offering services through a pitch is different from a marketplace permit. You need a marketplace permit if you want a place at a daily, weekly or annual market.

Your pitch must comply with the General Local Regulation (APV) Requirements art.5.18.

What to do.

You request the permit from the municipality. When doing so, provide the following information:

  • what goods or services you sell
  • In which location you want the pitch (with location drawing)
  • on which day or part of the day you want to use the pitch

How long does it take?

You will be notified within 8 weeks whether you will receive the permit. If there is a waiting list or the municipality has set a maximum then it may take longer for you to receive the permit.

Objecting

Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? Then you can object within 6 weeks.
