School social work

The school social worker works for Levgroep. She visits schools, maintains contact with school staff, and can talk to parents and children. This takes place either at the schools or at the CMD. You can contact the school social worker through your child's school. You can also call the CMD and ask to be put in touch with her.

The school social worker can:

• thinking along in situations
• Provide short-term support such as talks and advice
• be at a meeting at school
• engaging with your child with your permission
• observe in the classroom

The school social worker can help you, your child and school find appropriate help, at school or at home.
