Handing over neighborhood implementation plan 't Zand: how to be first neighborhood off gas
't Zand is the first neighborhood in Son en Breugel to take steps to be a natural gas-free neighborhood. Together with us, a group of neighborhood residents have drawn up a neighborhood implementation plan (WUP). This describes how they will work together to ensure that the neighborhood goes off natural gas. The plan describes the process the working group went through and the concrete goals, results and agreements. The working group presented the neighborhood implementation plan to Mayor Suzanne Otters on Feb. 26 (she replaced Alderman Steven Grevink).
Sustainability Alderman Steven Grevink: "By 2050, we want all homes to be off natural gas. This can only be achieved if the municipality and residents work together. So the fact that this group of residents is the first - and with so much enthusiasm - to get started is so valuable."

The 't Zand Aardgasvrij working group summarizes the ambition of the WUP as follows: "This neighborhood implementation plan is aimed at ensuring that every resident of 't Zand who wants to can participate. That solutions are sustainable as much as possible, and all with the aim of making the neighborhood natural gas-free as soon as possible."
The working group is getting started on the Neighborhood Implementation Plan, the kick-off meeting for the approach is on Feb. 28 at 1:30 pm. Interested in thinking along? Sign up at info@hetzandaardgasvrij.nl
