Announcement of City Council's decision regarding adoption of recommendation on reappointment of mayor

The City Council decided to recommend the mayor for reappointment to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. Hans Gaillard's third six-year term will expire in September 2021. The positive recommendation now goes through the Commissioner of the King, with her advice, to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The official decision to reappoint takes place by Royal Decree.

Appoint accountant

The board decides to appoint Crowe Foederer BV as auditor for the fiscal years 2021 through 2024 with two optional renewal options of two and one years, respectively.
The contract period with BDO Audit & Assurance BV runs through fiscal year 2020. For the audit year 2021 and beyond, the accountancy work has again been put out to European tender for the three municipalities and Service Dommelvallei.

Extension of waiver of residency requirement Alderman

The council decides to extend Alderman Van Liempd's waiver of the residency requirement effective May 9, 2021, through May 8, 2022. The Municipal Law states that a requirement for being an alderman is to be a resident of the municipality. This may be waived by the council.

Audit committee report 2020 Public Space Reports (MOR)

The council takes note of the report "Reports public space Municipality of Son and Breugel" of the audit committee. The council decides to adopt the following recommendation of the audit committee to the council: Better align policy and implementation by incorporating the MOR process (public space reports) into a process description.
