Announcement regarding the municipal council's decision to adopt the recommendation on the reappointment of the mayor

The municipal council has decided to recommend the mayor for reappointment to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. Hans Gaillard's third six-year term will expire in September 2021. The positive recommendation will now be sent to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations via the King's Commissioner, accompanied by her advice. The official decision on reappointment will be made by Royal Decree.

Appointing an accountant

The board has decided to appoint Crowe Foederer BV as auditor for the financial years 2021 to 2024, with two optional renewal options of two and one year respectively.
The contract period with BDO Audit & Assurance BV runs until the 2020 financial year. For the 2021 audit year and beyond, the accountancy work has again been put out to tender at European level for the three municipalities and Dienst Dommelvallei.

Extension of exemption from residency requirement Alderman

The council decides to extend Alderman Liempd's exemption from the residency requirement from May 9, 2021, until May 8, 2022. The Municipalities Act stipulates that a requirement for aldermanship is that one must be a resident of the municipality. The council may grant an exemption for this.

2020 Audit Committee Report on Public Space Reports (MOR)

The council takes note of the report "Public space reports Municipality of Son en Breugel" from the audit committee. The council decides to adopt the following recommendation from the audit committee to the municipal council: Better align policy and implementation by incorporating the MOR process (public space reports) into a process description.
