List of Public Resolutions from the City Council Meeting on September 24, 2026

The council has decided to submit a statement of views on the revised multi-year estimate for the Blink Joint Arrangement in connection with the new construction project. The purpose of this statement of views is to adjust the investment budget to reflect current cost trends and the revised schedule for the new construction project.

The Blink Joint Arrangement carries out waste collection and street cleaning services for nine municipalities, including Son en Breugel. By submitting a statement of opinion, the municipal council can influence the decision-making process. 

Requests and Concerns Regarding Participation in the VRBZO Regional-National Coordination Hub Foundation 

The council takes note of the draft decision by the Brabant-Southeast Safety Region (VRBZO) to join the Knooppunt Coördinatie Regio’s-Rijk (KCR2) foundation and decides not to express any wishes or concerns.

The purpose of the KCR2 is to support the safety regions and the national government in joint crisis management. It strengthens the information base, improves coordination, and provides support for supraregional and international assistance.

Court of Audit Report: Subsidy Policy and Social Relevance of the Municipality of Son en Breugel

The council takes note of the Court of Auditors’ report and asks the municipal executive to continue implementing the recommendations in a timely manner and to keep the city council informed of progress.

1st Management Report, 3rd and 4th Budget Amendments for 2026, Dommel Valley Department

The council notes:

  • the 1st Management Report for 2026 from the Dommelvallei Agency; 
  • the 3rd budget amendment for the Dommel Valley Service;
  • The 4th budget amendment for the Dommel Valley Department.

The council decides(amendment): 

  • to submit a statement of opinion on the third budget amendment for 2026 for the Dommelvallei Department;
  • to include the financial implications for the year 2026 in the second management report for 2026 and to take the financial implications for the 2027–2030 budget into account when preparing the 2027 program budget and the 2028–2030 multi-year estimate.

In its opinion, the council requests, among other things, timely insight into financial risks.
