Sustainability Implementation Agenda 2021 to 2022

The council decides not to adopt a new sustainability policy in 2021 and approves the Sustainability Implementation Agenda for 2021 to 2022.

The current Sustainability Policy covers the period from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, the reassessment was postponed due to limited capacity and the implementation of various major policy products and the new environmental policy. In 2021, the situation has not changed. The Implementation Agenda provides insight into the ongoing activities being undertaken to achieve the set goals.

Withdrawal of the 2021 precario tax regulation

The council decides to repeal the 2021 precario tax regulation. The coronavirus measures have had a major financial impact on hospitality businesses. Not levying precario tax will provide some financial relief for entrepreneurs.

Technical amendment to the Joint Regulation for the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region 2021

The council

  1. agrees to the adoption of the (technically) amended Joint Arrangement for the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region.
  2. grants permission to the board to implement the (technically) amended joint arrangement.
  3. takes note, in anticipation of the entry into force of the Joint Arrangement for the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region, of the proposed (technical) amendments to the Statutes of the Consultative Bodies of the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region.
  4. proposes that the General Board of the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region implement Article 21, paragraph 2 of the Joint Regulation for the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region 2021 by establishing the Council Table 21 as a consultative body.
  5. In anticipation of the formal establishment of Raadstafel21 as a consultative body, appoints the current members of Raadstafel21 as members. These are Mr. Frans Meulenbroeks and Mr. Marco Pulles.

Update to the Joint Arrangement for the Brabant-Zuidoost Safety Region

The council grants the college permission to agree to the update of the Joint Arrangement for the Brabant-Zuidoost Safety Region.
The update finalizes a number of technical amendments (to the law) and improves the wording of certain passages from a legal perspective.

Policy memorandum "Heritage Policy" and zoning plan "Cultural History"

The council

  1. adopts the policy memorandum "Heritage Policy"
  2. adopts the response to the opinions expressed in the "Opinion Memorandum on the Draft Zoning Plan 'Cultural History,'" which forms part of this decision, and hereby adopts it;
  3. adopts the amended "Cultural History" zoning plan and makes it available digitally. Amendment to the regulations governing the appointment of civilian members; appointment of civilian members to the municipal council.

For the remainder of this council term, the council will allow each political group to appoint a maximum of two citizen members who were not on the list of candidates for the 2018 municipal elections. This will take place within the framework of the New Meeting Structure Trial and in compliance with the other requirements and provisions established for citizen members.

- on behalf of the VVD parliamentary party: Mr. R.H.M. (Rob) Dijkstra;

- on behalf of the D66 parliamentary party: Mr. J.E. (Jürgen) Feuerriegel and Mr. P.A. (Flip) Verhagen

- On behalf of the DorpsVISIE political party: Mr. W.K. (Willie) Horden.

The discussion of the Airport motion and the Election Signs Renewal motion has been postponed to the meeting of November 11, 2021.
