Appointment of citizen member of For You!

The council appointed Mr. Eef van Turnhout as a citizen member on behalf of the For You!

Regional project The Green Zone Solar Panels 1.1 (DGZ-Z) 

The council decides:

  • To participate in the project The Green Zone Solar Panels 1.1 Metropolitan Region Eindhoven.
  • count the activities resulting from the project plan and related activities as part of the public task of the Municipality of Son and Breugel.

The goal of this project is to have as many solar panels as possible installed on roofs of residents with a narrow budget, CoEs and private landlords.

Appropriation increase redesign of environmental street 

The council decides:

  • build the platform and KCA depot in a circular and modular way.
  • Increase the investment credit of the refurbishment of the environmental street by € 151,710, -. 
  • Increase the investment credit of the KCA depot by € 21,750.

Variant study of access to Jansen BV site, Kanaaldijk 24 

The council takes note of the variant study "Ontsluiting A. Jansen B.V. Son en Breugel" and expresses its preference for variant 1.1 from this variant study as the most desired and suitable access to the company location Kanaaldijk Zuid 24.

On March 12, 2020, the council adopted the "Ekkersrijt; Jansen Kanaaldijk Zuid 24" zoning plan. The purpose of the plan was to adequately regulate the access to the business location of A. Jansen BV at Kanaaldijk Zuid 24. The municipality of Best and Jansen BV filed an appeal against the zoning plan. On August 24, 2022, the Council of State upheld the appeals and annulled the zoning plan in its entirety and ordered us to make a new decision within 52 weeks.

Additional review criteria designation procedure local broadcaster

The council decides to adopt the following additional criteria for a local broadcaster:

  1. Representativeness and functioning of program policy-making body (pbo) 
  2. Geographic habitat and identity, connection to information needs of residents 
  3. Interaction and participation residents 
  4. Media channels
  5. Collaboration with local partners and organizations 
  6. Professionally secured organization 
  7. A stable financial situation. 

In addition, the council decides to establish a temporary independent advisory committee, consisting of one (citizen) member from each political group wishing to serve on this committee, with a minimum of three members, to make recommendations to the city council based on the criteria.

The council assigns an equal weighting factor to all of the aforementioned criteria and sets the possible scores for each criterion: inadequate (--), moderate (-), adequate (-+), good (+) and excellent (++).

This decision was amended.

Motion: without money no municipalities

The council calls on the newly formed Cabinet to provide in the coalition agreement that: 

  1. Municipalities can achieve the important social tasks by making sufficient funds available for this purpose; 
  2. Municipalities structurally have sufficient funds through the municipal fund by, for example, abolishing the scaling discount, continuing the existing financing system and indexing the funds appropriate to real (rising) costs on statutoryHealth) tasks; 
  3. Giving municipalities steering options and powers appropriate to their duties and responsibilities; 
  4. Municipalities can never again find themselves in a situation where the tasks, but not the necessary resources, come to the municipalities; 
  5. Intergovernmental (financial) relations based on equality and cooperation are restored and anchored. 

The council is asking the college for this motion: 

  • to bring to the attention of the informateur and negotiating parties on behalf of the Municipality of Son and Breugel; 
  • to be brought to the attention of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Interior; 
  • to be sent in copy to the Councils in Resistance Action Committee.
