Draft decision VRBZO participation in risk management foundation safety regions

The council takes note of the draft decision of Veiligheidsregio Brabant-Zuidoost to participate in the Risk Management Safety Regions Foundation and decides not to express any wishes or objections.

First budget amendment 2022 GGD Brabant-Zuidoost

The council takes note of the First Budget Amendment 2022 GGD Brabant-Zuidoost and decides not to submit an opinion.

Integral vision of poverty policy

The council decides:

  • To take note of the report "Poverty Policy of the Municipality of Son and Breugel" (September 2021) of the Court of Auditors;
  • Adopt the recommendations of the report of the Court of Auditors;
  • To adopt the Integral Poverty Vision "Breaking the Circle.
  • To instruct the college to develop the integrated vision into an integrated policy framework with a concrete implementation agenda;
  • Recommend that the new City Council establish a council working group or Sounding Board Group on Poverty Policy.

The council wants poverty policy to be seen as a broader issue than "just" the use of financial policy instruments. Poverty policy requires an integrated approach.

Appointment of members of credentials committee

The council decides to appoint as members of the credentials committee the council members:

  • Mrs. Elly Brocken
  • Mr. Willem Buurke
  • Mr. Theo Groenemans

Before new council members are admitted to the council, the credentials committee consisting of "old" council members evaluates whether the new council members meet all requirements for council membership.

Appointment of registrar and (2nd ) deputy registrar

The council appoints:

  • Ms. Moniek Weerts, effective June 29, 2022 as Registrar;
  • Mr. Hans Verheul as 2nd Deputy Registrar as of today, 1st Deputy Registrar as of June 29, 2022.

Due to reaching the state pension/retirement age, the current Registrar, Mr. Frans den Hengst, is terminating his position as of June 29, 2022.

Motion Local entrepreneurs central

The council requests that the college:

  • Work with the business associations OVE and OVSB to organize a quarterly "connect evening.
  • To invite non-affiliated entrepreneurs to this as well;
  • To invite the council factions and the college itself to this as well;
  • To cover the cost of this from the "Business Contacts" budget, possibly to be re-estimated through the administrative report.

Motion Emergency shelter for refugees Ukraine

The council requests that the college make it known to the agencies that, if we have one or more sites or that can be quickly made suitable for reception, we wish to receive refugees within our community.
