5. Agreement on the Approach to Drug Hotspots: OB 2025–2030On March 31, 2025, the mayor of the municipality of Son en Breugel signed the “Approach to Drug Locations in East Brabant 2025–2030” agreement. The agreement is evaluated every two years by the parties involved. The Administrative Steering Group (BRG) decided to conduct an evaluation after one year. This evaluation was carried out recently, during which input was gathered from all parties to the agreement. On May 18, 2026, the results and proposed changes from the evaluation were presented to the BRG, after which the amendment to the agreement was approved. The amendment primarily concerns the incorporation of changes to the Opium Act and the addition of the Province of North Brabant as a covenant partner. |
6. Decision on the AppealOn December 17, 2025, the municipal executive decides to grant an environmental permit for the modification of a facade element on the front of the property, next to the residence on the lot locally known as Panterlaan 8 in Son en Breugel. On December 31, 2025, the municipal executive receives an objection to the aforementioned decision. The Appeals Committee recommends declaring the objection unfounded, upholding the contested decision—including the amended construction drawing dated March 12, 2026—and rejecting the request for reimbursement of costs pursuant to Article 7:15, paragraph 2, of the General Administrative Law Act (Awb).

7. Agreement on Additional Duties Health School HoursTo ensure the continuity of Health Onderwijstijd,” additional tasks (the so-called “plus tasks”) must be mandated to the Joint Arrangement for the Youth Region “Een 10 voor de Jeugd.” This additional mandate is necessary to resolve legal obstacles resulting from the entry into force of the Youth Care Availability Improvement Act (WvbJ). Health Onderwijstijd” is a “plus task” that was already being implemented regionally prior to the establishment of the Joint Arrangement and for which continued regional implementation is necessary.

8. Improvement Plan for Records and Information Management and KPI Report for IBT 2026Each year, the improvement plan for records and information management is submitted to the province as part of the intergovernmental oversight (IBT) process. Every two years, the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) report must also be submitted as part of the information arrangement. Based on this information arrangement, the province assesses records and information management on a three-point scale: satisfactory/partially satisfactory/unsatisfactory.

9. Motion M21. Together Against ViolenceOn November 6, 2025, the City Council adopted the motion “Together Against Violence.” The attached council information letter informs the City Council of the progress made in implementing this motion, thereby concluding the matter. |
10. Southeast Brabant Environment Day, July 9, 2026An “Omgevingsdag” is organized twice a year for each region in North Brabant. During an “Omgevingsdag,” agreements are reached between the municipalities, the province, and the water boards. These agreements may have legal implications, for example, for zoning plans (that are yet to be developed). The documents for the “Omgevingsdag” on July 9, 2026, are submitted to the Executive Board along with this memorandum. |
11. Designate Stokroosstraat 2 as a municipal monumentOn December 4, 2023, the Historic Preservation Commission adopted a Statement of Rationale for Stokroosstraat 2, recommending that this building be designated as a municipal historic landmark. The residential house, with its original wooden addition and monumental artwork on the facade, deserves the status of a municipal monument due to its characteristic architectural style of the Bossche School, its understated use of materials and colors, its iconic location in the Grote Beek stream valley, and its high degree of integrity and local rarity. |
12. RES Initial MemoDevelopments in recent years call for a reassessment of the agreements in RES 1.0 to create RES 2.0. In RES 2.0, agreements are made to work together to build an energy system that optimally contributes to our spatial and economic growth objectives. At the regional portfolio holders’ meeting on energy transition held on March 12, the RES 2.0 Initial Memorandum was approved, with the agreement that it would be submitted to all municipal councils for adoption following the portfolio holders’ meeting on May 27.
