4. Son en Breugel Municipality Events Policy 2026
The current events policy of the municipality of Son en Breugel was adopted in 2016. This policy is outdated and in need of an update. That is why we have updated the events policy. Various parties were involved in the update. For example, a participatory meeting was held with event organizers and business owners from Son en Breugel, and a survey was distributed among residents. Specialists from the municipality and other organizations, such as the Safety Region and the police, also provided input. All information has been collected, and we have drafted an updated events policy.
The municipal executive decides:
- to adopt the Son en Breugel Municipality Events Policy 2026;
- to adopt the text titled “Son en Breugel Municipality Events Policy 2026” and include it in the next council newsletter.
5. Board Proposal for Public Review of the Draft S&B Heating Program
The municipality of Son en Breugel has drawn up a Draft Heating Program. This program outlines the municipality’s path toward a natural gas-free future and identifies promising heating solutions. The program provides residents, businesses, and community organizations with insight into the direction of the heating transition and serves as a framework for the municipality’s future policy decisions and actions.
It is proposed that the draft Heating Program be made available for public review so that stakeholders can submit their comments. The responses received will be processed, after which the final Heating Program can be adopted by the municipal executive.
The municipal executive decides to adopt the draft Heating Program for the municipality of Son en Breugel and to make it available for public review for six weeks.
6. Compensation Program for Chronic Illness or Disability
Following the repeal of the Act on Allowances for the Chronically Ill and Disabled (Wtcg) on January 1, 2014, the municipality of Son en Breugel (like many other municipalities) established its own compensation scheme for this target group. This scheme is based on the Social Support Act 2015 (Wmo 2015, Art. 2.1.7) and the municipal ordinance on social support. Under the current Policy Rule on Financial Assistance for Additional Costs for Persons with Disabilities or Chronic Conditions 2021, residents with low incomes and a chronic illness or disability are eligible to receive a one-time annual allowance of €300. The current scheme is due for an update. This primarily involves adjustments to the implementing provisions and the wording of the scheme. There are no substantive changes.
The Municipal Executive has decided to adopt the “Regulation on Financial Assistance for Chronic Illness or Disability in the Municipality of Son en Breugel 2026.”
