1. Public Agenda of the Municipality of Son en Breugel, September 22, 2026
The board sets the agenda.

4. Decision on the appeal regarding the environmental permit for the Ekkersrijt multi-tenant business complex
On May 22, 2026, the municipal executive decided to grant an environmental permit for the construction of a multi-tenant business building at the address locally known as Ekkersrijt 2010 in Son en Breugel. On July 6, 2026, the municipal executive received a pro forma objection from the objector against the aforementioned decision. The Objections Committee recommended that the objection be declared inadmissible.
The board decides:
1. to declare the appeal inadmissible;
2. to refer to the opinion of the Appeals Committee for the reasoning behind the decision.
5. Adoption of the Rules of Procedure
The Rules of Procedure date from 1998 and are in need of revision. The Rules of Procedure for meetings and other activities of the Municipal Executive have now been updated and are being submitted to the Municipal Executive for adoption. We are submitting the rules to the City Council for information.
The council decides to adopt the updated Rules of Procedure.
6. Political Evening, September 24, 2026
The executive committee takes note of the agenda for the Political Evening on September 24, 2026, and submits the list of commitments and the list of pending motions to the council.
The Executive Board resolves:
1. to take note of the agenda for the Political Evening on September 24, 2026;
2. to submit the list of commitments dated July 9, 2026, to the council;
3. to submit the list of pending motions for the council meeting on September 24, 2026, to the council.
7. Houtens 3 Initiative Proposal
The project proponent wishes to demolish the existing house and outbuildings on the front portion of the Houtens 3 lot and rebuild two new single-family homes there. The municipal executive has set forth preconditions and guiding principles for this, entered into a preliminary agreement, and issued a selection decision regarding archaeology. The preliminary agreement covers, among other things, the payment of municipal costs associated with overseeing the plan. The selection decision ensures that the land is released without further archaeological investigation because the site is already built up and, therefore, the likelihood of archaeological finds is low.
The council resolves:
1. to adopt the preconditions and guiding principles for Houtens 3;
2. to enter into the preliminary agreement for Houtens 3 with the project initiator;
3. to issue an archaeological selection decision for the land comprising the Houtens 3 parcel with a view to releasing the land from an archaeological perspective;
4. Text mandate for Alderman De Jong regarding the preliminary agreement.
8. Response to City Council questions regarding the status of the future (re)development of the former La Sonnerie site
On August 19, the municipal executive received written questions from the council regarding the current status of the future (re)development of Nieuwstraat 45-47 in Son en Breugel. The municipal executive has responded to these questions in a letter.
The council decides to approve the response letter to the written questions regarding Nieuwstraat 45-47, present it to the person who submitted the questions, and forward it to the members of the city council.
9. Request for Advice on the ASD Implementation Decree on Youth Assistance 2026
On June 4, 2026, the city council adopted the 2026 Youth Assistance Ordinance. Several provisions in the ordinance state that the city executive shall or may establish further rules. This is done in the Youth Assistance Implementation Decree. The implementation decree provides further practical guidance for implementing the provisions of the ordinance. The proposal is to request that the Social Domain Advisory Council issue an opinion on the implementing resolution.
The council decides to submit the draft implementation resolution on Youth Assistance in Son en Breugel 2026 to the Social Domain Advisory Council and to send the letter.
10. RIB Board Proposal
In light of recent developments regarding the transfer of youth protection and youth probation services effective in 2027, we are providing this information to the council.
The Executive Board has decided to approve the text regarding current developments surrounding the acquisition of youth protection and youth rehabilitation services starting in 2027, and to include it in a supplementary council information letter.
