Opinion on the draft budget for 2023 VRBZO

Under the Joint Arrangement for the Brabant-Zuidoost Safety Region, the councils of the participating municipalities are given the opportunity to express their views on the draft budget before the General Board adopts the budget.
The draft budget for 2023 VRBZO was sent to the councils on March 15 for their views. The draft budget will be submitted to the municipal council by means of a council proposal.

The council agrees with the council proposal for an opinion on the 2023 draft budget of the Brabant-Zuidoost Safety Region, in which the following decision points are submitted to the council:

1. take note of the draft budget for 2023 for the Brabant-Zuidoost Safety Region (VRBZO);
2. not to submit an opinion;
3. incorporate the financial consequences for the municipality of Son en Breugel into the 2023-2026 multi-year program budget.

Council information local food bank distribution point

On January 21, 2022, the food bank launched a local distribution point for the Best and surrounding areas Food Bank. This was a two-month trial during which residents could register for a food package. The trial has been evaluated. We would like to inform the city council about the trial and its follow-up.

College Decision:

1. To agree to the text for the council information letter;
2. to include the text in the next council information letter.

Draft program budget for the Municipal Health Service (GGD) for 2023

On March 22, 2022, the GGD Brabant-Zuidoost sent the municipal council the draft program budget for 2023 with a request for its opinion. The budget led to the submission of a positive opinion. The municipal executive has decided to submit the council proposal to the council.

College Decision:

1. take note of the GGD draft program budget for 2023;
2. submit the council proposal to the City Council;
3. incorporate the financial implications for the Municipality of Son and Breugel into the budget.

Signature sheet Covenant on green enforcement in North Brabant 2021 other partners (municipalities)

The first covenant was concluded in 2017 and temporarily extended in 2019. This covenant is for an indefinite period. This covenant enables all parties in North Brabant to take joint action as effectively and efficiently as possible against abuses in rural areas and nature reserves in particular. This makes it possible for Boa's domain 2 (green Boa's)
to work in each other's territories and to take action across municipal boundaries.

The council decides to approve the North Brabant Green Enforcement Covenant 2021.

Open Government Act

On May 1, 2022, the Open Government Act (Woo) will come into force. The Woo replaces the Government Information (Public Access) Act (Wob). This is a national development. All government bodies in the Netherlands will be affected by the Woo. The Woo aims to create a transparent and actively open government. This goal will better serve the importance of public information for the democratic constitutional state, residents, the administration, and economic development. The municipal executive and council will be informed about the entry into force and implementation of this act in the municipality of Son en Breugel.

College Decision:

1. take note of the entry into force of the Open Government Act (Woo) on May 1, 2022;
2. to designate the senior policy officer and policy officer responsible for legal affairs, part of the Strategy and Advice team, as contact persons on the basis of the Woo;
3. inform the council with the council information letter.

Funfair 2022

Bureau De Kermisgids will shortly submit an application on behalf of the municipality of Son en Breugel for the organization of the fair in the center of Son. The permit has yet to be granted. The fair will be held from Friday, June 17, through Tuesday, June 21, 2022. During the Portfolio Holders' Meeting on March 28, 2022, it was discussed to award the stands for the fair in accordance with the lease proposal. The layout of the attractions is awaiting approval.

College Decision:

1. to agree to the setting up of the fair;
2. to implement the proposed traffic measures to ensure safety;
3. Have all power connections pre-approved by an independent, accredited agency to ensure a safe power supply.
