3 Political Evening Program June 20 and list of commitments
The council approves the program for the Political Evening on June 20, 2024, and the list of commitments to the council dated May 30, 2024.
4 Overview of decisions taken during mandate week 25 2024
The council is periodically informed about decisions taken under mandate. The overview of decisions taken on behalf of the council or the mayor in the past period.

5 Decision on objection to environmental permit for the construction of fourteen homes at the Houtens location.
On December 13, 2023, the council decides to grant an environmental permit for the construction of fourteen homes at the location Houtens unnumbered, plot Son en Breugel C 6197. On January 18, 2024, the council receives two objections from objectors against the above decision. The appeals committee recommends that the objections be declared unfounded, that the contested decision be upheld, and that the request for reimbursement of legal costs be rejected.
College Decision:
- declare the objections unfounded;
- uphold the contested decision;
- Reject the request for reimbursement of legal costs;
- Refer to the opinion of the Objections Committee for the reasons for the decision.
6 Update on maintenance of public art 2024
The municipality of Son en Breugel manages 33 art objects in public spaces. In 2022, the municipal council approved the management plan for these objects. An update on the maintenance of art in public spaces will be provided in a text for the next council information letter.
The council decides to adopt the text on the maintenance of art in public spaces and to include it in the next council information letter.
7 Annual Report and Financial Statements 2023 Platoo School Board
In accordance with its articles of association, the PlatOO school board submits the 2023 annual report to the municipal council for consultation. Neither the annual report nor the financial statements give rise to any questions.
College Decision:
- To take note of the 2023 annual report of the PlatOO school board;
- Inform the municipal council about this in the next Council Information Letter.
8 KPI report and improvement plan for archive and information management 2023-2024
Each year, the college informs the council about archive management. In addition, the improvement plan and KPI report are sent to the province as part of inter-administrative supervision (IBT). Based on the report, the province assesses the archive and information management on a three-point scale: satisfactory/partially satisfactory/unsatisfactory. The improvement actions also include drawing up frameworks and guidelines for information management and ensuring that attention is paid to sustainable accessibility.
College Decision:
- To adopt the 2023-2024 archive and information management improvement plan and the KPI report;
- Inform the municipal council about the 2023-2024 improvement plan and KPI report by means of a RIB;
- Send the 2023-2024 archive and information management improvement plan and KPI report to the Provincial Executive of North Brabant;
- Establish RMA policy and sustainability policy;
- I-navigator containing the information management plan to be established as core registration.
9 One-time investment subsidy for making HOI houses more sustainable
The Hobby, Meeting, and Information Center Foundation, located at Taylorstraat 1A in Son, has applied for financial assistance to make the HOI building more sustainable. The assistance amounts to one-third of the investment required to make the accommodation rented by the foundation more sustainable in order to reduce energy consumption. The foundation has already received a commitment from Rabobank that it is willing to invest 1/3 of the investment. For the remaining 2/3 of this investment, the foundation's own capital and this requested contribution from the municipality will be considered.
College Decision:
- to provide a one-time investment subsidy to the HOi-Huis foundation for the realization of a total investment for making HOi-Huis more sustainable;
- to pay this amount from the sustainability reserve;
- to inform the city council with a RIB.
May Circular 2024
The May circular was published on May 27, and the financial consequences are detailed in this memo. With this memo, we inform the council about the financial consequences and how they will be incorporated into the 2025-2028 multi-year budget. The consequences for 2024 will be included in the second management report for 2024.
The council decides to take note of the May circular 2024 memo and to submit it to the council as an appendix to the 2025-2028 framework memorandum.
11 Additional written questions regarding SBV subsidy
On behalf of the VOOR U! political party, additional written questions were submitted on May 22, 2024, regarding the SonenBreugelVerbindt subsidy.
The council decides to adopt the (draft) answers to the additional written questions received from the VOOR U! political party regarding the SonenBreugelVerbindt subsidy and to submit these to VOOR U! and the entire municipal council.
12 Update Charging Plan
In September 2023, work began on drawing up a charging plan. The charging plan is intended to strengthen the implementation and realization of public charging stations. It was previously indicated that a charging plan would be submitted to the council in early 2024. We would like to provide the council with an update on the current status.
The council decides to inform the municipal council about the status of the loading plan by means of a council information letter.
13 Memorandum on Informal Care Policy
Supporting informal caregivers is a legal obligation under the Social Support Act (Wmo). The Administrative Agreement "Working together in Son en Breugel" (2022-2026) states (among other things) that the informal care policy will be updated. In short, the council's task is to formulate proposals aimed at continuing and, where necessary, adjusting the informal care policy. Specific examples mentioned include the deployment of the Informal Care Broker, optimizing the digital platform, maintaining the identification consultation with chain partners, improving replacement (respite)Health continuing the Informal Care Café. The Informal Care Policy Memorandum provides for this update and contains proposals for continuing and adjusting the policy on supporting informal caregivers in our municipality.
The council decides to forward the Informal Care Policy Memorandum 2024 to the Social Domain Advisory Council.
