3 Preliminary Regional Implementation and Investment Agenda Novex de Peel

A provisional Regional Implementation and Investment Agenda has been drawn up for Novex de Peel. This has been submitted for consultation to the councils and general boards in the region, with a request to express their wishes and reservations before September 18. The council has decided to express its wishes or concerns about this provisional Regional Implementation and Investment Agenda for Novex de Peel by answering the questions posed and thereby drawing attention to the tasks and capacity required for the municipalities and the financing of the implementation of the
Brabant Rural Area Program.

The board decides to respond in accordance with the answers in the advisory memorandum.

4 Continuation of Son en Breugel Social Emergency Fund

In March 2023, the Son en Breugel Social Emergency Fund (hereinafter referred to as the emergency fund) was established to reduce poverty and debt by helping people in emergency situations. After just over a year, we evaluated the emergency fund. The purpose of this evaluation is to assess whether the emergency fund is fulfilling its intended purpose, whether we should continue the emergency fund, and whether the policy rules are appropriate. It is proposed that the municipal executive continue the emergency fund and make a few adjustments to the policy rules.

College Decision:

  1. to continue the Son en Breugel Social Emergency Fund;
  2. to adopt the amended policy rules for the Son en Breugel Social Emergency Fund;
  3. to finalize the text for the council information letter, which informs the municipal council;
  4. text mandate for the RIB for Alderman .

5 Shortening the BKR registration period for problematic debts

According to the legal frameworks of the Wgs and the Financial Supervision Act (Wft), the municipality is obliged to register residents who have entered into a debt settlement arrangement with the Credit Registration Office (BKR). A registration with the BKR remains visible for a period of 18 months during the debt settlement process. After the completion of a debt settlement, it remains visible for five years that a debt settlement has taken place. The municipality considers this disproportionate and shortens this registration to six months after a debt settlement has been successfully completed.

College Decision:

  • to shorten the registration period from five years to six months at the Credit Registration Office (BKR) for debt assistance arrangements that have been successfully completed;
  • to finalize the text for the council information letter, which will be used to inform the municipal council.
