1. Public list of decisions by the Municipality of Son en Breugel, February 3, 2026
The college adopts the decision list.
2. Political Evening February 12, 2026
The council decides to take note of the program for the Political Evening on February 12, 2026.

4. External audit of WPG + improvement plan
All organizations that deploy special investigating officers (boa's) must comply with the Police Data Act (Wpg). The Wpg requires an internal audit to be carried out annually and an external audit every four years. The report of the external audit must be submitted to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP). BKBO (audit firm) conducts the audits for the municipality of Son en Breugel. An improvement plan has been drawn up based on the results of the external audit (January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024).
The council decides:
- to take note of the report "The External Privacy Audit WPG";
- adopt the WPG improvement plan.
5. Decision on objection
On November 26, 2025, the council decides to grant an application for the placement of two advertising signs. On December 10, 2025, the council receives an objection to the above decision. The objections committee recommends that the objection be declared inadmissible.
The council decides:
- Declare the objection inadmissible;
- Refer to the opinion of the Objections Committee for the reasons for the decision.
6. Establishing preconditions and principles Houtens 19
One of the major challenges facing the municipality is housing construction. In 2024, the municipality purchased the Houtens 19 plot with the intention of developing this location for housing construction. The land between Vlinderlaan and Houtens 19 is also included in the development. A general urban development plan has been drawn up to facilitate participation. Your council has been asked for advice on the preconditions and principles as formulated by the civil service. Now that the participation and urban development plan are ready and the council has given its advice on the principles and preconditions, your council is asked to adopt these principles.
The council decides to adopt the 'preconditions and principles for the Houtens 19 development site' for the Houtens 19 development site.
7. Financial Regulation
In recent years, (council) decisions have been taken which, in the event of an amendment to the Financial Regulation, would be incorporated into it. As the Framework Memorandum on Legality has also recently been amended, the Financial Regulation is now being amended.
The council decides to submit the Financial Regulation to the municipal council and therefore to forward it to the Audit Committee for advice to the municipal council.
8. Street naming policy 2025
The policy for naming and addressing within the municipality of Son en Breugel has been drawn up. A street naming committee will be set up to implement this policy. This is in accordance with the council's motion of November 5, 2020. The council will be informed of this by means of a council information letter.
The council decides:
- to adopt the policy rules for naming and addressing in the municipality of Son en Breugel 2026;
- to adopt the establishment decree of the street naming committee;
- to adopt the text on street naming policy and the institutional decision and to include it in the next council information letter;
- to increase the budget for 2026 by €1,500 and to include this in the first management report for 2026;
- to include the budget adjustment for 2027 and beyond in the 2027-2030 framework memorandum.
9. Written questions VVD FOR YOU
On January 12, 2026, the VVD VOOR U political party submitted written questions about forest management in Son en Breugel. The questions relate to the evaluation of management, the establishment of a structural consultation structure, and the interpretation of a felling measure at Oud Meer. The municipal executive provided substantive answers to these questions. The answers show that forest management is evaluated systematically, assessed independently, and that recent interventions were carried out in the context of emergencies.
The municipal executive decides to adopt the answers to the written questions submitted by the VVD VOOR U political party on January 12, 2026.
10. GPK policy rules 2026
Residents with a disability, including a walking disability, can apply for a disabled parking permit (GPK). With this Map , they Map park in disabled parking spaces, for example. The aim is to promote the independence and participation of residents with disabilities. The GPK policy rules have been drawn up for the sake of clarity and transparency.
The council has decided to adopt the GPK Son en Breugel 2026 policy rules.
11. Development study Energy landscape Sonniuswijk
The municipality of Son en Breugel is working on the development of an energy landscape in Sonniuswijk. This area has been designated as a 'search area' for large-scale solar power generation on land in the Regional Energy Strategy (RES 1.0) of the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region (MRE). In order to realize this project in accordance with the Environmental Vision, the Sonniuswijk area vision, and regional agreements, it is proposed that a specialized agency be commissioned to conduct an integrated development study (Phases 0 and 1). This study will examine how energy generation and supply can be combined with landscape development and how at least 50% local ownership can be guaranteed.
College Decision;
- to award the contract for the implementation of the Phase 0 and Phase 1 development study for the Sonniuswijk Energy Landscape project;
- to establish the integrated approach whereby the results of this process are incorporated into the regional exploration for RES 2.0;
- to adopt the text on the Sonniuswijk energy landscape development study and include it in the next council information letter.
