Detour routes due to work on Dommelpas bridge

The Dommel Pass Bridge is in critical condition and is being replaced. We will also renew the bicycle path. Work on this will start on September 29, 2025 and last until the end of January 2026. The Dommelpas bridge and the bike path between Koekoeklaan and Doormanlaan will be closed to all traffic. Pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted via the designated detour routes. The detour signs will be placed this week and will take effect Sept. 29. 

You can detour over two routes:

👉Via the Veerstraat. This route will be signposted and is about 700 meters longer than the route via Dommel Pass. To make this as safe as possible, signs will be placed warning motorists of additional cyclists and pedestrians and asking them to adjust their behavior accordingly.

👉Via the Planetenlaan. This is about 2 kilometers longer than the route via Dommel Pass. There is a bike path here that is not directly adjacent to the road. This is an extra safe choice.
