What will Son en Breugel look like in 2050?

A pleasant and livable village also requires space for green areas, climate considerations, roads, public transportation, and good amenities. The environmental vision outlines a long-term vision for the physical living environment and provides direction for future developments in areas such as housing, work, mobility, nature, and sustainability in the municipality of Son en Breugel by 2050. Our environmental vision outlines what we want to achieve and the choices we must make to get there. This serves as our framework when drafting new policies and regulations for aspects of the physical living environment. Through the environmental vision, we address current and future challenges in our society. In it, we outline the desired direction of development for our municipality.

This environmental vision is the result of public comments, administrative amendments, and the decision-making process within the city council. The environmental vision was adopted by the city council on March 5, 2026. We will now work together with residents, business owners, and our community partners to bring the ambitions and goals outlined in the environmental vision to fruition.
