Military exercise March 9–13, 2026
A military exercise will take place in Son en Breugel from March 9 to March 13.
The exercise is being held as part of the education and training of military personnel from the Ministry of Defense. In practical terms, this means that military personnel will carry out assignments using vehicles and on foot. These will mainly be long-distance reconnaissance missions. These activities will take place during the day, in the evening, and at night.
Military exercise: March 23–April 5, 2026
From Monday, March 23, through Friday, April 5, the Air Mobility Command will be conducting cargo and paratrooper airdrops during Exercise Orange Bull.
The Air Mobility Command (part of the Royal Netherlands Air Force) is primarily responsible for providing military airlift support for global military operations, humanitarian missions, and special operations. It carries out this mission using our C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.
Except on Fridays, cargo planes fly from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. On Fridays, flights operate from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Military exercise April 8 and 9, 2026
A military exercise will take place in Son en Breugel on April 8 and 9.
The exercise is being held as part of the education and training of military personnel from the Ministry of Defense. In practical terms, this means that military personnel will be exploring various locations to practice air defense procedures. These activities will take place during the day, in the evening, and at night.
