This home is a fine example of a simple worker's house from the early twentieth century. Although the interior has since been completely modernized and contains almost no original elements, the exterior is still largely recognizable. The front and left side facade still show the original details, as well as the simple main form of the house.

What makes this property extra special is its location: for centuries buildings have stood on this spot, always intended as workers' dwellings. Thus, the property tells a story about the history of daily life in Son.

In the 1960s, many old houses disappeared from the village center due to redevelopment of the main road. Only a small number of historic houses remained. This house, together with two nearly identical neighbors, now forms a valuable entity in the village center: built low, close to the street and with a deep backyard. This characteristic setting is a reminder of Son's former streetscape.

Behind the home is a spacious ornamental garden with garage. Although the interior no longer has historical value, it is in excellent condition. The exterior is well preserved and still clearly contributes to the village appearance of old Son.
