Youth health care (JGZ) for children 0 to 12 years of age

Youth health care (JGZ) takes care of children aged 0 to 12. This is a part of the GGD.

For Children from 0 to 4 years of age

If your child is between 0 and 4 years old, you can visit the consultation office. This office is located in the building on Europalaan. Here youth nurses and a youth doctor work. You can go to the clinic for different things:

• Questions about your baby's health and development.
• Having your baby weighed.
• Vaccinations according to the national vaccination program.

If you have concerns about raising your baby or if there are problems at home, you can talk about them with the nurses or doctor. Together we will look at what is needed. The GGD can help you with different projects. Also, someone from cmd. can think along.

For Children from 5 to 12 years old

For children aged 5 to 12, the youth physician is also available. The cmd. also employs youth nurses for this age group. They perform standard examinations at different ages and will send you a message about it. You can also contact them if you want to talk about your child's health or education. The GGD can help you and also someone from cmd. can think along with you.

Sleep folder

Together with the JGZ, the cmd. created a sleep leaflet for parents and professionals. It contains information about sleep in children. What is normal sleep? What are important points of attention and how can you deal with them? There are different leaflets for different ages, because children have different sleep needs at each stage.

After reading the leaflet, do you have any questions or concerns? Then contact the JGZ. A specialized youth nurse will help you further.
