Young Caregiver Week is a campaign week around young caregivers, re-recognizing and recognizing them. They are put in the spotlight and there are actions to bring new young family caregivers into the picture.

Lecture "From Wolfswinkel to Waterhoef": the history of a Heerlijkheid in Son and Breugel by history teacher Alfons Baak On Wednesday evening, June 4, 2025, the Heritage Association Son and Breugel (formerly Heemkundekring) is organizing a lecture on the Heerlijkheid Wolfswinkel to Waterhoef. The lecture is in the Dommelhuis and starts at 7:30 p.m., the hall is open at 7 p.m. For members of the Heritage Society participation is free, non-members pay 5 euros.

From June 7 to 15 it's time again for the HTC Bavaria 0.0pen! This annual tennis tournament, now in its 18th edition, guarantees sportsmanship and conviviality. Everyone, regardless of level, is welcome to participate and measure his or her strength on the tennis court. CINEbieb Book adaptation: Le Comte De Monte Cristo

The film by directors Matthieu Delaporte & Alexandre de la Patellière had its world premiere
at the Cannes Film Festival last year and was a success at home and abroad. In France, the film attracted more than 9 million visitors and internationally it is also one of the best-attended French films of 2024.

Clap chairs concert "50 years of carillon in the Church Tower" on Church Square

The annual folding chair concert of Harmonie Pro Honore et Virtute, this year extra special because of the celebration of "50 years of carillon in the church tower." Besides four orchestras of the Harmonie on the square, the carillonneur will also play in the tower. Bring your (folding) chair and something tasty and be surprised by this unique concert. 

Note: in case of bad weather (rain), they will divert to Thursday, June 26, same times.

In Son en Breugel, a unique residential park will rise in the coming years for care organization SWZ. At the existing Zonhove care facility - where 168 people with (severe) multiple disabilities live - future-proof homes, day care areas and support facilities will be built. During the Construction Day, you can experience how we are building together a nice place to live. Come and take a look between 10:00 and 14:00. You are most welcome. Coffee is ready!
