Have you always wanted to see the dress rehearsal of the St Matthew Passion? On April 1 you can do so in the Vestzaktheater Son en Breugel (and no, this is not an April 1 joke), so no fancy dress yet, just in jeans. Of course they will be on top of their game to put the finishing touches to the well-known i's. Come and enjoy the beautiful music of the Matthew Passion, played on authentic instruments, under the direction of Iassen Raykov.

A musical exchange between the youthful orchestras of PHEV and the percussionists of Muziekopleiding Joop from Boxtel. Rehearse together in the morning, then have a nice lunch together as musicians and finish off with a joint concert in the Dommelhuis.
Will we see you too? The concert starts on Sunday, April 6, 1 p.m. in the Dommelhuis! Admission to the concert is free and Maps reservations are not required. A musical afternoon guaranteed!

Collection Foundation Charity Week Son and Breugel

From April 7 to April 20, 2025

In the 2nd and 3rd week of April 2025 (April 7 to 20), 19 charities will join forces again. What that means for you is that one collector will come to your door and you can donate once for 19 organizations. Great for you! But also good news for the charities. Because with this joint action we aim to create more social awareness and increase the involvement of residents, so that we can continue to financially support the participating charities.

Fredrik Backman. The book was praised for its warm and humorous approach to loss and friendship, and the film has also received praise for its sensitive portrayal and outstanding acting skills

Exchange concert PHEV and LUF in the Dommelhuis

On this evening the concert band of Pro Honore et Virtute welcomes its fellow musicians of the L'Union Fraternelle concert band from Zeelst (Veldhoven). For lovers of harmony music this promises to be another great musical evening. Both orchestras will perform separately on this evening and you are welcome to come and listen. Tickets for this concert are free of charge but must be reserved.

Prelude Recital - Old masters and a world premiere
Who hasn't written preludes in the past? After Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, it was a must for composers to compose at least 24 preludes together. Chopin, Scriabin, and Rachmaninov wrote them in all of them, and the list is much longer. Shostakovitch, following Bach's lead, also wrote 24 fugues to go with them.
