Center vision "Village Heart on the Dommel"

The village center of Son en Breugel is constantly evolving. Many stakeholders, residents, entrepreneurs have ideas and like to think along about the future of the area. After a long and intensive process, the municipal council adopted the center vision "Dorpshart aan de Dommel" on June 5, 2025. 

What do we want to achieve? 

The goal of the Son en Breugel center vision is to strengthen an attractive, lively and vital village center, now and in the future. It provides a dot on the horizon where we want to go with the center. The center vision includes ambitions and developments in the spatial, social and climate areas. 

What are we going to do?

The center vision is one that we will continue to develop in the coming years. 

We have 7 ambitions:

• green center
• cyclist and pedestrian central
• eliminate barrier New Street
• vibrant center
• water strategy
• more housing in the center
• parking at the edges

Several issues we can therefore further explore and develop. We will continue to shape this together with residents, business owners and stakeholders in the coming years.
