Cafe The Council House

Site

This large bordeau-red colored building was built in 1870 as a notary's house with the front door on the Market side; the corner entrance was added later. The window surrounds have a crest. The house originally had a hipped roof that was lost in a fire around 1930. To the right of this house, Market 2a, you can see the former notary's office. In the crowning is an "ox eye.
