Special transport

What is it?

If the cargo you want to transport is so large that transporting it falls outside the legal dimensions and weights, this is called special transport. For special transport, you need an exemption. You may not transport it just like that.

How does it work?

You can apply for the waiver if:

  • the transport is outside the legal transport requirements
  • no alternatives are possible (e.g., transportation in parts)
  • you load and unload within the municipality

Apply for the waiver at the RDW. Please provide the following information with your application:

How long does it take?

You will be notified within 10 business days whether you will receive the waiver.
