Modification of dog walking areas

Due to the construction of the F58 fast cycle route and various reports of unsafe situations, the dog walking areas have been modified. The dog walking area between Brug Houtens and Kanaaldijk Noord 18 is no longer designated as a dog walking area. This means that dogs must be kept on a leash here. 

The other dog walking areas have not been modified. Dogs are allowed to run free in the following areas:

  1. Bijenlaan from the corner of Eiffellaan towards the A50 viaduct for 400 m
  2. Kanaaldijk North after side road Hoberglaan to Houtens Bridge
  3. Kanaaldijk North after side road Molenstraat to Hooijdonk Bridge
  4. Kanaaldijk North after Stakenburg Street 21 to Kwadestraat
  5. Area of the Sonse Mountains between Planetenlaan, H. Veenemanstraat, Hoefbladlaan, and the Dode Arm van de Dommel waterway
  6. Wooded area between Gentiaanlaan, Bestseweg, and the residential areas of Muzenberg, Fonteinberg, Geuzenberg, Hoogenberg, and Potjesberg 

The adjustment of the dog walking areas is included in the 'Amendment to the general designation decision APV municipality of Son en Breugel 2022'. This decision can be consulted via www.officielebekendmakingen.nl.
