3080 new trees for a healthy forest
This winter we are planting 3,080 young, native trees in the places where previously dead trees had to go. This way we are giving the forest a chance to recover and come back stronger. Some of the saplings will be fenced so that animals do not eat the trees and they can grow into large healthy trees and provide a healthy and varied forest.
Thanks to the cooperation with Trees for All (to which ASML makes a financial contribution), we are able to plant these new trees. In the Brainport region, 455,000 trees will be planted in the coming years.
In the fall of 2024, we unfortunately had to remove many trees that had not survived the extremely wet period of 2023/2024. Despite our hopes for recovery, the summer of 2025 proved too harsh for many trees. Therefore, this fall we are again clearing diseased, dead and fallen trees so that the forest remains safe and accessible for all.
