Neighborhood approach 't Zand natural gas-free(ready)
By 2050 at the latest, all homes in the Netherlands must be off natural gas. We approached the residents of the 't Zand neighborhood first to join us in drawing up a plan to become natural gas-free. We are using the knowledge and experience gained from this neighborhood to set to work in the others as well.
Working Group
For several months now, the Aardgasvrij 't Zand working group has been established. They are working with us and HetEnergieBureau on a so-called neighborhood implementation plan. In this context, several meetings have been held in which, among other things, agreements have been made about how to cooperate with each other and what is needed to map the neighborhood and the homes - and the possibilities for natural gas-free - properly technically Map But also about how local residents can think along and participate. - Heat network in Drimmelen on aquathermy from surface water (TEO) and a collective MT heat pump with peak supply (partly) via buffer tank.
- The Oranjewijk in Leeuwarden where homes are first made suitable for hybrid heating and then make the switch to MT heat grid (55-75⁰C).
