This week, from March 10 to 17, 2025, many organizations are highlighting "waste heroes. 

Alderman Jan Boersma visited waste management company Remondis last Monday and on Wednesday he visited Blink's Environment Street.

Blink offered lunch to the employees of the Environmental Facility. Alderman Jan Boersma visited the Environmentalraat during this lunch to express his appreciation for the efforts of these waste heroes. The lunch concluded with a tour of the new Environmentalraat.  

Every day, 30,000 employees dedicate themselves to collecting waste and raw materials, keeping environmental streets running, clean streets,
parks and sewers, transporting our waste and recycling and processing it. The Netherlands would be a lot less clean, healthy and safe
without them.
