What is the municipality's approach?

Which nests does the municipality remove?

In principle, the municipality removes all nests in municipal trees within built-up areas with the exception of:

  •  The nests in the forests, such as in the Son Mountains.
  •  The nests in places where no equipment can reach (too high, or inaccessible)

When extreme nuisances occur, we make choices and concentrate on the places where many people come.

Can you give a schedule of when you will remove the litters?

No, giving a schedule is difficult. In the period from May we receive many reports and we have to make choices and set new priorities continuously.

How does the municipality remove nests?

The municipality has the nests sucked away by specialized green space contractors. The people doing this work are trained to do so and use only certified equipment and protective devices.

Do you mark the trees with nests to warn people?

We place signs or markings in places within built-up areas where we do not remove nests, such as in the Son Mountains. If necessary, we place warning signs and/or stretch cordons at the entrance.
