Walk and pick up litter at Old Lake during World Cleanup Day

Saturday, Sept. 21, we will once again participate in World Cleanup Day. Together with over 190 countries we are going to give the planet a cleanup. This year the focus is on the outlying area around the Oud Meer. Unfortunately, litter that does not belong in nature is lying around more and more often. During a beautiful walk through the forests of Son we will clean up this waste.

The cleanup action is accompanied by nature guides from IVN, who during the walk will tell you all about the natural "cleaners" in the forest. For example, you will learn how different organisms play an important role in keeping nature clean and the ecosystem healthy. Thus, cleaning up becomes not only useful, but also educational.

Who can participate?

This activity is suitable for both children and adults. Anyone who wants to can participate! Children can only participate when accompanied by an adult. Tip: bring good shoes that you can easily walk on.
