Former presbytery, St. Genovevastraat 28
Municipal monument
Built between 1705 and 1726 and rebuilt in 1804 with a geometric skylight above the front door and windows with small rod arrangements. The upstairs room is above the basement window (front). The site of this old rectory was chosen - from all appearances - in the 18th century with Health . The old presbytery lies at a prominent point in a bend of the in the past unpaved road, well visible from whichever side one approaches the structure. On the north side, a path runs right past this building that in earlier times connected the bridge over the Dommel to the Pieter Brueghelplein. From the Sint Genovevastraat, this path now gives a beautiful view through to the Dommel valley. Of particular note in the left rear attic is a built-in room with a stuccoed false vault and windows. This seems to confirm that there was a house chapel.
