Stop vaping plan and National Parents' Night Out "No to vaping"

1 in 10 children as young as 12 have already vaped. Vaping is harmful and addictive super quickly. As a parent, talking to your child about vaping early can prevent a child from starting or becoming addicted. But how do you have that conversation? This is addressed during the national online parent evening. In addition, a vaping cessation plan has been developed to help young people quit vaping.

Vaping cessation plan for adolescents and young adults available

The vaping cessation plan was developed for adolescents and young adults. It is intended for young people who are already vaping and are thinking about or want to quit. The stop plan is not intended to prevent young people from starting vaping. For that, please visit the website "No to Vaping" .

You can download the Vaping Stop Plan or order it physically (shipping is free) from the Trimbos webshop.

The quit plan contains 8 clear steps to quit vaping. A person can fill in this plan completely by himself and see what works for him or her. It also provides more information about, among other things, guidance when quitting, what happens when you quit and facts about vaping. If someone does not want guidance, the young person can complete the Quit plan together with someone. E.g. with a parent, teacher, friend. Because quitting often works better with a little help or support. IkStopNu, VKN and Helder Opvoeden are the developers of the Stop Plan.
