Environmental street
What is it?
The environmental street is where you can bring your (bulky) waste. There it is collected separately in large containers. The waste disposal site is intended for residents of the municipality of Son en Breugel. When you hand in your waste, you must show your environmental pass.
Opening hours
- Monday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Sundays and holidays, the environmental site is closed.
A few times a week a crane comes to the environmental site to press the contents of the containers. When the crane is used on the site, no cars are allowed in for safety reasons.

Free compost
Your GFT waste is processed into compost. During opening hours, you can pick up compost free of charge at the Environmental Facility.

Asbestos submission Requirements
As a private individual, you can offer asbestos once up to a maximum of 35 m2 per year at the environmental street. Always contact the environmentalraat in advance by telephone (0499-476508) to ask whether there is room in the asbestos container. The license plate number of your vehicle and residential address will be registered at the entrance to the environmental street.
Asbestos-containing material delivery:
- The asbestos-containing material should be packed airtight in bags at least 0.2 mm thick, double-wrapped and sealed with tape.
- Health that the bags are not too heavy. You must put them in the container yourself.
Provide materials that resemble asbestos (such as Eternit corrugated sheets):
- Environmental sanitation workers will not accept unpackaged material that resembles asbestos.
- Pack this material in bags at least 0.2 mm thick, double-wrapped and sealed with tape. Even if you are sure that this material is asbestos-free.
Mobile recycling center (GRIP truck)
If you’re unable to bring the items you’d like to dispose of to the recycling center, you can also drop them off at the GRIP truck. Several times a year, the GRIP truck makes stops at various locations in Son en Breugel. To find out when, please visit the Blink website at.

Payment of fees can only be made with your debit card. Cash will not be accepted.
