The new multifunctional accommodation (MFA) De Bongerd is almost ready for occupancy. Users will move into the building in phases over the next few months. Various (sports) associations and schools started the first activities, trainings and lessons in February. For now, no sports competitions will take place. This is because the outdoor area with the parking lots is not yet ready.

De Bongerd will also house Korein daycare, Refugee Council, IVN, the boxing club and the exercise center. These organizations will move to the new location over the next few months.

Carnival

The catering facility is hosting the "Vurgloeiavond" in De Bongerd on Feb. 28, 2025. There are also activities during Carnival.

Work on public space

We will start work on the paving around the sports hall. Weather permitting, we will start construction of the public space in April 2025. First we will lay the underground (sewerage) and above-ground infrastructure (paving) around De Bongerd. Then we will replace the above-ground infrastructure around De Boerderij. In the fall of 2025 (planting season) we will plant shrubs and trees. The plans for this layout have come about in consultation with the users, including the board of The Farm. Depending on where work takes place around the building, we will use entrances that do not intersect the work.
