Children's holiday play week Son 2024 starting!

This morning Alderman Jan Boersma opened the children's holiday play week Son (KVS). About 65 children ages 3 and 4 were present to participate in a variety of activities. The theme this year is "The Mystery of the Empty Fairy Book." They gathered the clearing at Geuzen Mountain in the forest.

During the festive opening, the Alderman of Son and Breugel presented a special surprise. To the children and organizers was handed a large, old book, known as the "KVS fairy tale book. However, to everyone's surprise, the pages of this beautiful book were completely empty. The Alderman explained that this was no ordinary book. According to old legends, the KVS fairy tale book can only be filled by the true spirit of adventure and cooperation. The Alderman revealed that the fairy tales are hidden in the skies of Son and Breugel, waiting to be discovered.

For the coming week, there are mysterious clues scattered throughout the village. These clues are keys to discovering the fairy tales that belong in the book. Each day the children will have the chance to decipher one fairy tale from the hints they find. When they guess the correct fairy tale together at the end of the day and say it out loud three times, the story will magically appear on the pages of the book. 

The goal is to fill the KVS fairy tale book by the end of the week, with which the children will not only unravel the mystery, but also bring the magic of fairy tales back to Son and Breugel. Alderman Jan Boersma wishes all children a very happy children's holiday play week!
