Getting started yourself

At Geldfit you can find free information about money in your situation. You can also take the Geldfit test anonymously to gain insight into your financial situation. Or contact us directly anonymously at 0800-8115.

The Nibud website contains a free training course to get started with your money matters yourself. And on the website Wijzer in geldzaken you will find an overview of online household books you can use. This way you have all your money matters at hand in one place.

Assistance through the municipality

Do you have payment problems or debts? Then you can also apply directly to the municipality.

What can you get help with?

For example, the municipality helps you in these situations:

  • You worry about money
  • You cannot pay your bills
  • You have a lot of mail that you no longer open
  • You have received a letter you do not understand (for example, from the tax, municipality of Son and Breugel, energy company or insurance company)
  • You get mail from a collection agency and you don't know what to do
  • You are behind in paying rent, energy, health insurance or water

Debt assistance for entrepreneurs

Do you own your own business? Then you can seek debt assistance from your accountant, a lawyer, banks or the Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises. You can also apply for self-employment assistance.

Do you ever find yourself short of money? Do you find it difficult to keep track of things? Maybe a budget course is something for you. During this course you will learn to handle money differently. I have been duped by the benefits affair and am in debt

Have you been duped in the child care benefit affair? In dealing with the child care supplement issue, much has not gone right in the past. An offer of help is now being made to rectify this. The CMD can work with you to see if your family needs anything. For this, you can apply to the CMD without obligation. Help may focus on finances, work, housing, health and family. Call or walk into the CMD, even if you have questions or doubts. The help costs nothing.
