What is it?

Our municipality has many large and small, one-time and permanent events throughout the year. There are also many activities and performances in neighborhoods, at the Kiosk or the Dommel Balcony.

What to do.

Do you want to organize a small event such as a street party or barbecue? Or do you want to organize a larger event such as a parade, fair, large party, festival, concert or sports competition?

Traffic measures

Would you like to close (part of) your street to traffic? The following roads and streets may not be closed, or not without an (event) permit:

Notification small-scale event / activity

If your event/activity is small-scale in nature with no significant impact on the surrounding area then report it to the municipality. You can do this online.

Time of notification

However, your notification of the small-scale event must be reported to us at least 20 working days in advance.

Annual event

Are you going to organize an annual event and want to apply for a permit? Then you can send an email to evenementen@sonenbreugel.nl. Then you will be sent a form, with all data known to us already filled in.

New event

Are you going to organize a new, large event? Then you usually need a permit. For this, you can use the application form. If you are preparing a new event, please contact us even if you are not yet ready to apply for a permit.

Apply on time

For large events, the municipality needs time to coordinate with police, fire and/or other emergency services. It is therefore very important that you apply for your event permit on time. Apply for a permit at least 14 weeks before your event. That way, there is still time to review your application and consult with you and with the police, fire department and/or emergency services.

Exemption Alcohol Act art 35

To qualify for this exemption, the application must be made for a special occasion of a very temporary nature for a continuous period not exceeding 12 days. You can arrange the application online.

Facilities

If you would like your event to be listed on the digital bulletin boards and/or in the events calendar on this site, you can request it using the online form

Does all or part of your event take place in the kiosk or the Dommel Balcony? Then you can book it with the BACK Committee

If you want to use, for example, trash cans or crowd barriers to close off a road, the municipality can loan you those materials. You can indicate your requirements on the request form.

Accessibility

The municipality appreciates it when you consider accessibility aspects when organizing the event. The CG Platform has developed a checklist for this purpose. This allows you to see to what extent your event is easily accessible and what measures contribute to better accessibility for everyone.
