Therefore Brabants Landschap, Staatsbosbeheer, Waterschap de Dommel and municipalities Son en Breugel, Eindhoven, Nuenen and Geldrop-Mierlo have joined forces. Together we realize - commissioned by the province - this important link in the nature network between our Planetenlaan and the A67. The Breugelsche beek and Beemden also belong to the area.

Connecting Nature

The Nature Act Brabant has been adopted by the province. The goal is to connect existing nature areas by 2027 by establishing and managing intervening (agricultural) land as nature. New connections improve the living conditions of plants and animals. For example, animals can move more easily to find food and conspecifics. It also makes nature more resistant to outside influences. In this way, a more robust, better functioning nature network can be created. This is not only good for nature but also for your nature experience close to home. The area becomes accessible for people to relax and enjoy the environment. 

Water storage and climate

In combination with nature, the land in the stream valley also contributes to the collection of water and the prevention of heat stress. Especially in our built environment, this contribution is very important. 

Selling land or developing nature yourself

The parties are purchasing land. Landowners in this area have been informed by letter or approached for an interview. Private individuals and farmers can also contribute to nature and landscape development themselves. Provincial subsidies are available. We are also interested in agricultural land outside the project area to use as exchange land. If you are interested, please contact land acquirer Dirk Meijs.
