Animals, shelter stray and injured animals
What is it?
As of January 1, 2022, Stichting ROZE (Regionale Opvang Zwerfdieren Eindhoven) is responsible for the shelter of stray and wild animals in need for Eindhoven and 13 regional municipalities. The foundation has shelter facilities for dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, birds, hobby animals and reptiles/amphibians. Wild animals from the region are received and cared for 24 hours and then go to Vogelasiel Someren.
Pet found / lost?
If you have found a pet, contact the animal ambulance dispatch center. They will check if the animal has already been reported missing and may send an animal ambulance for a chip check. If you have lost your pet, please report it on our website www.rozeindhoven.nl/vermist, on www.amivedi.nl and on social media.
Animals for adoption
Animals, looking for a home, are listed on www.rozeindhoven.nl/asieldieren , www.dierenasiels.com and on social media. If you are interested in an animal, you can fill out an online intake form. If there is a potential match, the shelter will contact you for an initial live introduction.
Animals in distress
Is there an animal in distress? Then call the animal ambulance at 040-7470100. This number is available 24/7 (between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. only for emergencies).
More information The ROZE Foundation works from a new, sustainable shelter at Kanaaldijk Noord 127a in Eindhoven. There are now fifteen paid employees, a number of interns and many volunteers working to give the animals in the shelter the best possible Health and to manage everything involved in the shelter. In addition to being a shelter for stray animals, the ROZE Foundation is also an employment project. Through cooperation with institutions such as the municipality, UWV, WijEindhoven and regional participation companies such as Ergon, WSD, KempenPlus and Senzer, various people with a distance to the labor market find a job.
The Animal Protection Society will continue to perform the tasks of TNR (TrapNeuterReturn (nuisance feral stray cats)), crisis shelter and evictions until October 1, 2022. After October 1, the ROZE Foundation will also take over these tasks.
