Breugel Bruist: addressing public space

Public space construction has begun. 

First, the underground (sewerage) and above-ground infrastructure (paving) will be installed around De Bongerd. Then, the above-ground infrastructure around De Boerderij will be replaced. We will construct a wadi in the garden of De Boerderij. This will retain (clean) rainwater for as long as possible during the summer months to prevent the area from drying out. 
The public spaces of both De Bongerd and De Boerderij have now been planted with trees and other vegetation.

In the coming months, the tender for the public space (planting, sewerage, and paving) in the Van Gentlaan area around the shopping center will take place. The public space is expected to be completed in 2026.

Among other things, IVN will conduct educational tours and work in Het Bosje. Het Bosje will also be made accessible by the construction of a natural path connecting Asteroid Avenue with Libra Avenue. At IVN's request and in consultation with The Farm, a "Bee Hotel with Garden" will be erected in the garden at The Farm to encourage biodiversity.
