In November 2024, the Final Design (DO) was established for the overall public area. This is now being incorporated into an Implementation Design (UO). We expect, depending on weather conditions, to start construction of the public space (phase 1) from April 2025. 

First, the underground (sewer) and above-ground infra (paving) will be constructed around De Bongerd. Then the above-ground infrastructure around De Boerderij will be replaced. In the garden of De Boerderij we will install a wadi. This will retain the (clean) rainwater in the summer months for as long as possible to prevent dehydration in the area. In the fall of 2025 (planting season), the public areas of both De Bongerd and De Boerderij will be planted with plants and trees.

In November 2024, The Grove will be (out)thinned so that -in cooperation with the IVN- The Grove will become part of the overall plan. Among other things, IVN will conduct educational tours and work in Het Bosje. Het Bosje will also be made accessible by the construction of a natural path connecting Asteroidslaan with Weegschaallaan. At IVN's request and in consultation with The Farm, a "Bee Hotel with Garden" will be built in the garden at The Farm to encourage biodiversity.
